Pre-release revision — country-specific review pending Last revised: September 22, 2026

This draft describes the current Service, including Google Play billing. Country-specific consumer requirements and translations must be reviewed before public release. This revision does not establish a new effective date or certify worldwide legal compliance.

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms define the conditions for using IV Guardian ("Service"), provided by Woongthcorporation (웅쓰코퍼레이션, "Provider"), and the rights and responsibilities of users and the Provider.

Article 2 (Nature and Limits of the Service)

The Service supports nursing workflow, calculations, team collaboration, and time-based alerts. It does not diagnose, prescribe, treat, or control an infusion device, and does not replace direct patient identification, observation, clinical judgment, or institutional procedures.

Article 3 (Account and Sign-in)

A supported external account sign-in is required to use the Service. Users must provide accurate information and protect their account and device. One person may use multiple devices with the same account, and account information may be restored after a device change or reinstallation.

Article 4 (Main Features)

The Service includes:

  • IV calculation and user-selected advance alerts based on an estimated completion time
  • Position, urine-hour, and user-defined care alerts
  • Assigned-area filtering, break delegation, return, and shift handoff
  • Team-room creation, invitation, participation, and shared editing
  • Profile, team-contact, and coworker management
  • A companion Wear OS app for viewing waiting IVs and alerts, setting gtt with vibration, starting an IV, acknowledging care, and removing an IV after confirmation

Wear OS features require a compatible watch and a separately installed companion app. Availability depends on the watch app's store distribution status; a smartphone installation alone does not make the watch features available.

Article 5 (14-day Trial)

A newly eligible account receives one 14-day trial with access to all current features. The trial is provided once per external identity. Deleting and recreating an account does not grant another trial.

If a purchase is made during the trial, payment may be processed on the purchase date, but the paid 28-day access period is credited after the remaining trial period so that the promised trial is not shortened.

Article 6 (Free and Premium Access)

Trial and Premium users can use all current smartphone features.

After the trial or Premium period ends, the account becomes Free. A Free user can use the Home, Work, Calculator, Team Contacts, and Settings tabs, but uses a personal room that is not shared with others. The personal Free room has three default rooms with one bed each and supports up to one IV per bed. Creating or joining a shared room and opening shared-room settings are restricted.

Article 7 (One Active Team Room)

An account may belong to multiple team rooms, but receives alarms only from the most recently activated room. When changing the active room, alarms from the previous room are stopped and cleared. The App may ask for confirmation before the change.

Article 8 (Shared Team-room Permissions)

All members of a shared team room have equal editing permissions because they are expected to collaborate in the same real-world workplace. The room creator leaving does not remove the room or reduce other members' access. The Service does not provide a member-removal feature.

Users must understand that another member may change room, bed, area, IV, or care-alert settings and must communicate appropriately within their workplace.

Article 9 (Delegation, Return, and Handoff)

When a working user starts a break and delegates to another working member, the delegating user and the delegate may both receive eligible alarms. When the user returns, the delegation is withdrawn. If the delegating user ends the shift after delegation, the assigned area is handed off and only the eligible delegate receives subsequent alarms.

Actual delivery depends on account, active-room, assigned-area, work-status, delegation, device, network, Firebase, and operating-system conditions.

Article 10 (IV and Care Alerts)

An IV alert is scheduled using the estimated completion time calculated from values entered by the user and the advance-alert times selected by that user. The Service does not require or guarantee an alarm at the exact moment the IV finishes.

Users can configure care-alert names, intervals, visibility, and activation. Frequent or unsuitable alerts can increase workload, so each workplace and user should configure only the alerts they need.

Article 11 (Patient Safety and Clinical Responsibility)

The user is responsible for patient identification, medication and prescription verification, IV volume and rate confirmation, line and insertion-site assessment, remaining-volume observation, alarm response, and every final clinical decision. The Service must not be the sole basis for care, and users must follow applicable law and institutional policy.

Alarm delivery may be delayed, duplicated, omitted, or cancelled because of incorrect input, room or member state changes, network delay, device shutdown, force stop, permission changes, operating-system restrictions, Firebase or Google service interruption, or other technical causes. Users must maintain independent checks appropriate to patient safety.

Article 12 (No Patient-identifying Information)

Medication and IV names may be entered to distinguish workflow items. Users must not enter patient names, resident registration numbers, medical-record numbers, contact details, diagnosis notes, or other patient-identifying information. Room and bed labels must not themselves identify a person. Combinations of room, bed, medication, and other information may still identify a patient in context; users must follow their institution's privacy rules and permitted scope of use. Removing a name alone does not guarantee anonymity.

Article 13 (Google Play Billing)

Premium is offered through Google Play as a 28-day auto-renewing option and a 28-day non-renewing prepaid option. The billing period is four weeks (28 days), not one calendar month. Available products, local-currency prices, taxes, payment dates, and renewal or plan-change conditions are shown on the Google Play purchase screen before confirmation.

Turning off auto-renewal stops the next and future automatic charges but does not end access already paid for. A prepaid purchase ends after its 28-day access period unless the user buys again.

Users can request cancellation of auto-renewal in the App or manage the subscription in Google Play. Uninstalling the App or signing out does not cancel a subscription. After changing devices or reinstalling, use the Google Play account used for the purchase and the IV Guardian account linked to it to restore eligible access. A purchase cannot simply be transferred to a different IV Guardian account by signing in to that account.

Cancellation, refund eligibility, and payment-method processing follow Google Play policy and applicable law. Google Play processes payment-method approval. Users may contact the Provider for refund assistance or use Google Play's refund-request route; this does not limit statutory consumer rights. Users can restore eligible purchases through the App.

Article 14 (Account Deletion)

Users can request deletion in Settings. A recent sign-in may be required. Completed deletion removes the personal Free room, profiles, team contacts, and invitations.

The deletion process ends the shift, removes registered device links, and requests alarm cleanup on other devices. Devices that are offline or unable to receive messages may apply cleanup later; immediate removal of every local alarm is not guaranteed.

Shared team-room data remains available to other members. The deletion process removes or replaces the account identifiers in fields it manages, such as creator and updater identifiers. This does not guarantee that every retained field or user-entered item is anonymous.

Deleting an account does not automatically refund a completed payment. During deletion, the server checks the Google Play subscription linked to the account and stops active auto-renewal. If a required billing check, auto-renewal cancellation, or deletion step fails, the server keeps the request pending and retries it. Returning to the sign-in screen does not prove that server-side deletion has completed. Users should also check the subscription status in Google Play. Any remaining trial or paid access attached to the deleted account cannot be restored through that deleted account. Rejoining with the same external identity does not provide a new trial. Statutory refund and other consumer rights are not limited by this paragraph.

Article 15 (Inactive Shared Rooms)

A shared team room may be automatically deleted if no member changes it for 14 consecutive days. The personal Free room is not deleted by this inactivity rule. Deleted room data and alarms cannot be restored.

Article 16 (User Responsibilities and Prohibited Conduct)

Users must:

  • enter accurate calculation and alarm information;
  • check device permissions, time, network, and alarm behavior;
  • protect account and invitation codes;
  • respect other members' work and data; and
  • report suspected security or synchronization problems.

Users must not interfere with the Service, access another person's account without permission, reverse engineer or abuse the Service, enter unlawful or patient-identifying information, manipulate trials or payments, or use alerts in a way that endangers a patient or another person.

Article 17 (Service Changes and Availability)

The Provider may change, restrict, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service for patient safety, security, maintenance, legal compliance, infrastructure changes, or service improvement. Material changes will be announced in the App or through another appropriate channel where practical.

Article 18 (Intellectual Property)

The Service, brand, design, software, documents, and related intellectual property belong to the Provider or their respective rights holders. These Terms grant only a limited right to use the Service and do not transfer intellectual-property ownership.

Article 19 (Liability)

The Provider does not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded. Within the limits permitted by law, the Provider is not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate user input, failure to perform required clinical checks, violation of workplace policy, device or network failure outside the Provider's reasonable control, or another user's authorized edits in a shared team room.

Article 20 (Changes, Governing Rules, and Contact)

Changes to these Terms will be announced before they take effect where required. Matters not stated here follow applicable law and Google Play policy where payment is involved. Users may contact the Provider to request review or correction of account, entitlement, or service issues.
